Our Journey & Family Heritage

GEC Batteries was founded in 2013 by Chris Meyer and his wife, Elizabeth. From day one they infused the business with deeply held family values, treating every customer like an extension of their own home.

In 2023, Chris and Elizabeth proudly handed their reins to their son, Gerhard Meyer and his wife Jenny. Today the family tradition grow even stronger as the third generation- granddaughters Teagan and Megan have joined the company.

At the end of January 2026, our beloved founder Chris passed away. While he is deeply missed, the Meyer family stands united in our vow to honour his memory, his strict business ethics and his dedication to our clients for many decades to come.
